PRESS RELEASE: The George Brothers are quickly making a name for themselves in "red dirt" music with their first single, "Brothers, Friends, & Outlaws Forever", which was released January 2011. In their first week after releasing the single, the George Brothers made the Top 20 Requests on Big Star 97 and were #1 Top Request on IR Country Radio. The George Brothers will perform at over 200 shows during the Hoe-Down's 30th Anniversary show, and will also hold several special events and benefits during the season.Keep watching the web as the Hoe-Down brings weekly updates, facebook updates, backstage videos, road shows, and get togethers for fans of the Hoe-Down, the George Brothers, and Eureka Springs! The long standing tradition continues of providing not only the hottest pickers in the area, but also the kind of comedy that will have you repeating the punch lines for days. It's an all around "feel good" kind of show that will leave you ready to come back for more. Last year the Hoe-Down lived up to their audience's expections when they said "This year's show could possibly be the best yet!" Returning guests could not have agreed more, and many came back several times - one couple even came back 4 times in one week! Once again the Hoe-Down has made it a priority to make 2011 even better - not just for the show, but for all of Eureka Springs. The Hoe-Down is kickin' with a new variety of hot pickin' tunes, bluegrass, classic country, lots of great Gospel music, hilarious comedy from P. Nutt, Granny, Girl, and the biggest burst of energy one stage can hold! The 2011 cast is Randall George (lead guitar and drums), DaWayne George (bass guitar), Wesley Trout (drums and vocals), Lee Hendrix (keys and vocals), Eddie Snow (steel guitar and banjo), Ted Snow (guitar and vocals), Sam Coffey (guitar, banjo, dobro), Leslie Wright (vocals and dance), Rannie George (dance), Jay Mischel (sound and lights), and we can't forget P. Nutt, Granny, and Girl! Don't miss the comedy pre-show at 7:30pm with P. Nutt and Granny. The main show begins at 8:00pm with high energy music right from the start! Just when you think you've seen the best show the Ozarks has to offer, the Hoe-Down saves the best for last with a powerful patriotic segment written by the George Brothers saluting all veterans and soldiers who have served this great country. Children 12 and under are admitted free to the Hoe-Down, and Jeff Thach of Thach Photography will be taking souvenir photos every evening. If you're looking for excellent lodging packages for Eureka Springs, be sure to ask for our recommendations when you call our ticket office! Be sure to sign up for P. Nutt's All New Newsletter to get the latest updates, coupons, and discounts, and we'll see YOU at the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down! Call 1-800- 468-2113 for tickets! |
